Refreshing settings for shared WebSphere servers

If you have set up WebSphere Application Server v5.x to be shared between multiple development clients, you may need to refresh the port numbers, or deployment directories for the shared WebSphere server.

If you need to refresh the port numbers or the deployment directory for the server, you can do this by editing the server configuration:

1. In the Servers view, double-click the server to open it. The server editor opens.

2. On the Overview page, click the Make Server Unique button. The port numbers and other settings are refreshed.

3. Save and close the editor.

4. Start the server for the changes to be recognized.
