Managing shared WebSphere servers

If you need to refresh the host address or remove any WebSphere servers that are shared between multiple development clients, you can do this from the WebSphere server preferences page:

  1. On the WebSphere server preferences page ( Window > Preferences > Server > WebSphere), beside Shared WebSphere servers, click the Manage button. The Manage Shared WebSphere Servers dialog box opens.

  2. To refresh the host address of the server, click Refresh.

  3. To remove the shared server, select the server in the table and click Remove.

  4. Click Close to exit the dialog box. After the server is removed, the reserved port numbers will be recycled for other servers to reuse. The assigned deployment directory will also be removed.
