Creating rollover images using objects on the canvas
You can create rollover images with objects on the canvas.
If you prefer, you can also create rollover images with the templates available in the Template Gallery.
To create rollover images with image files:
- Import or paste two images onto the Canvas.
- Select Object > Create Rollover.
- On the Canvas, select the image that is to be used as the original image. Click the Select button below the Original image box. The image you selected is displayed in the Original image and Preview boxes.
- On the Canvas, select the image that you want to use to replace the first image. Click the Select below the Replacement box. To preview your rollover image, drag your mouse over the image in the Preview box. Hint: Click Switch to reverse the positions of the images.
- Click Save Rollover to launch the Rollover wizard.
- In the Set Position Dialog, you can adjust the alignment of the two images. Click one of the nine buttons in the Position group to align the images as you wish. Click Next.
- Select an image file format in which you want to save the rollover image. You could save your file as a GIF, JPEG, or PNG file. If you want to change an image's attributes, click Details under the image that you want to change, and make any necessary changes. Click OK.
- Click Finish.
- In the Save Rollover Image files dialog, select the folder where you want to save the two image files and the HTML file that controls them.
- Select HTML file and type a name for the HTML file in the File name field. If you type the name for the HTML file in the Save Rollover Image Files dialog, the names for the original image file and for the replacement image file are set automatically.
- If you want to change the file name assigned to the original image, select Original image and type a new name in the File name field. If you want to change the replacement image's file name, select Replacement image, and type a new name in the File name field. Click Save.
