Specify Runtime Database Connection Information page
Use this page to specify the information that is needed to connect to a database at run time.
- Use DataSource connection
- Use a DataSource object to get the run-time database connection.
- DataSource/JNDI name
- The JNDI name of the DataSource object to use to get the runtime database connection.
- Use DriverManager connection
- Use a DriverManager object to get the run-time database connection.
- Driver name
- The name of the JDBC driver to use for the run-time database connection.
- URL
- The URL of the database to which to establish a run-time connection.
- Passed as method parameters
- Specified that the calling program provides dynamic access to the database by passing the user ID and password.
- Variables inside of method
- Specifies that he user ID and password that access the database are coded in the Java bean (access is static).
- User ID
- The user identifier to use to access the database.
- Password
- The password that is associated with the specified user ID.
- Reenter password
- The password that is associated with the specified user ID (retyped for confirmation).
