Informix database connections

Use the New Database Connection wizard or the Database Connection page to create a JDBC connection to an Informix database.

The following JDBC drivers are supported for Informix databases. The available drivers vary depending on the version that you are connecting to.

Important: Connecting to an Informix server by using the Other Driver selection might load extra tables that are not owned by a schema. When possible use one of the supported JDBC drivers in the JDBC driver list.

Informix JDBC Net Driver

The Informix JDBC Net Driver that is included with the Informix product can be used for local or remote connections.

You can download the Informix JDBC Net Driver from www.ibm.com/software/data/informix/.

DataDirect SequeLink Driver

The DataDirect SequeLink server code must be installed on the remote server. This server code is licensed software that purchase from DataDirect Technologies.

You can either use the DataDirect SequeLink driver that is included with this product, or you can download the driver from www.datadirect-technologies.com.
