- Click...
portal project folder (right-click) | New | Other | Server folder | Server subfolder | NextIf the Server folder does not appear in the New dialogue box, then check the "Show all wizards" box.
- Within the Define a New Server page, specify a fully-qualified host name and the server type. Click Next.
- Configure your WebSphere Portal server settings and specify your server administrator ID. Click Next.
- If you plan to either import or deploy, select a transfer method and specify a remote target directory; then click Finish. Depending on which method you choose, these are the requirements:
Method Requirements Local Copy The remote target directory should map to the installedApps/<node>/wps.ear of the WebSphere Application Server.
The remote target directory should be either a drive mapping or a network resource that does not require a logon and must allow read, write and delete access.
FTP Specify the FTP host and the path to the wps.ear directory.
The ID and password that you specify must have full permissions on the FTP server for read, write and delete.
View the status of your new server connection by opening the Servers view. The tab for this view appears below the Portal Configuration editor.
To edit the settings of this connection, double-click the server connection name to activate its editor.
