Validating HTML syntax
The HTML Syntax Validator validates HTML basic syntax and HTML DTD compliance for HTML and JSP files created in Page Designer.
Important: For JSP files, this validator only validates the HTML syntax in the file. Refer to Validating project resources for additional details on the JSP Validator.
- To validate an HTML or JSP file that is currently open in Page Designer:
- Click Tools > Validate HTML Syntax
- To enable HTML syntax validation to run when you manually build a project, or when you save changes:
- Click Window > Preferences > Validation.
- Select the HTML Syntax Validator check box.
- Click OK.
Important: Automatic validation might have an impact on performance.
