Dragging images from thumbnails
The Gallery view contains a variety of catalogs of reusable files that can be applied to Web pages. The file types available include images (which include animation, banners, bullets, buttons, icons, illustrations, lines, and photos), wallpaper, Web art (which includes buttons, logos, arrows, and illustrations), sound files (.mid format), page template files, and style sheet (.css) files.
When you open any of the folders in the Gallery view, the available files are displayed in the Thumbnails view. The Gallery view, working together with the Thumbnails view, allows you to easily add or apply the files available in the gallery to your HTML file.
To add content, complete the following steps:
- To open the Gallery view, select Window > Show View > Gallery.
- Open the folder that contains the type of file that you want to add to an Web page.
- Place the cursor in the appropriate location in the Web page.
- From the Thumbnails view, drag the desired thumbnail to the appropriate location in the Web page. For most file types, the content of the file, or an icon that acts as a visual marker (for example, when you add a sound file or a JavaScript file) is placed. However, when you drop a style sheet (.css) file, the new style will be applied to the target page, and a link to the style sheet is added to the HTML source.
