Information specified in properties files is used to configure...

• databases
• LDAP integration
• security (including external security managers)

During the configuration process, we can enter passwords and user IDs in the properties file. We can also specify them on the command line when running the task. If we specify the information in the properties file, use the delete passwords task to remove the passwords.
