AIX: Uninstalling WebSphere Portal

Use the Installation Manager to uninstall IBM WebSphere Portal binary files.

• AIX: Restrictions on moving a node to a stand-alone configuration
  In a working cluster, all nodes share a common database. If we want to remove a node from a cell to use the node in a stand-alone configuration, some restrictions apply.

• AIX: Prepare to uninstall
  We must prepare the system before you uninstall the IBM WebSphere Portal environment. For example, add passwords to the properties files. We must also decide to keep or discard the database information.

• AIX: Uninstalling WebSphere Portal
  If we have a complete and functional uninstallation program, we can uninstall IBM WebSphere Portal only or both WebSphere Portal and IBM WebSphere Application Server.
