Enable trace logging
Enable or disable trace logging for individual classes, and entire packages. By default, this portlet lists all currently running trace loggers on the current portal server. To enable trace logging:
- To add a new package, type in the trace string and then click the Add icon.
Type in the trace string exactly as we would in the WAS Administrative Console.
- To remove one or more trace loggers, select or multi-select the trace loggers in the list box and then click the Remove icon by the list box.
Results
Any changes that you make to these trace settings apply to the current running portal only; these changes are lost after restarting the portal server. A message displays indicating the server where we are enabling trace logging.
