Create new categories for the Content palette using the Manage Pages portlet

Associate content with the hidden Content page to define categories in the Content palette. Content items under the associated site area appear in the new category of the site toolbar.

The site area must exist.

The benefit to creating new categories for the Content palette using the Manage Pages portlet is we can view all libraries. We can therefore create a category from any of the libraries available.

  1. Click...

      Administration | Portal User Interface | Manage Pages | Content Root | Hidden Pages | Toolbar Content Root | Create

  2. Click Edit Page Properties of the Content palette.

  3. Open Advanced options.

  4. Select I want to edit associations.

  5. Select Add web content.

  6. Select the category that to show in the Content palette.

  7. Click OK.
