Remove search collections on Solaris


To use search in a cluster, configure a remote search server; If created any search collections, re-create them on the remote search server. If the search collection has data, export the collection before deleting it and then import the data on the remote server.


Remove the search collection

  1. To prevent search collection creations:

    1. Edit...

        WP_PROFILE/PortalServer/jcr/lib/com/ibm/icm/icm.properties

      ...and set...

        jcr.textsearch.enabled = false

    2. Restart the WebSphere_Portal server.


  2. After submitting all customized jobs for this task to delete all existing search collections from the primary node:

If created any search collections, you need to re-create them on the remote search server. If the search collection has data, export the collection before deleting it and then import the data on the remote server.

    1. Log on to WebSphere Portal.

    2. Navigate to...

    3. Click the Delete Collection icon for each search collection and then click OK until they are all deleted.

    4. Restart the WebSphere_Portal server.

      and then navigate back to the Search Collections page to verify that all search collections have been deleted.
