Portal V6.1.x on application server V6.1: Exporting web collections

Use the Manage Search portlet to export search web collections from a source portal. Before exporting a web collection, verify the portal application process has write access to the target directory location.

Use the Manage Search portlet to complete the following steps:

1. On the earlier portal server, select the collection to export.

2. In the Search Collections box, click Export collection.

3. In the Specify Location field, enter the full directory path and XML file name to which to export the document collection and its data.

4. Click Export
