Uninstall WebSphere Portal on IBM i

Uninstall IBM WebSphere Portal is a multiple step process and the method we use is dependent upon the configuration. Removing WebSphere Portal in a single-server configuration is different from removing WebSphere Portal from a cluster. Manual uninstallation instruction are provided for a single-server configuration in case of an error situation.

• Single server: Uninstalling on IBM i
  We can uninstall IBM WebSphere Portal using the silent uninstallation program. We can also choose to remove the Portal information from your DB2 database and/or to remove the IBM WAS profile created during the installation.
• Uninstall manually on IBM i
  If the uninstallation program is not present or a stopped installation did not create a complete and functional uninstallation program, we can manually uninstall IBM WebSphere Portal.
• Uninstall from a cluster on IBM i
  We can uninstall IBM WebSphere Portal only or both WebSphere Portal and IBM WAS using either the GUI or silent uninstallation program.
