Deploying the theme
Perform these steps to install your theme and verify that it is running.
- Open the WebSphere® Application Server administration console.
- Open a browser and enter the URL for your site.
- Click Applications > New Application.
- Click New Enterprise Application.
- Navigate to the yourtheme.war file.
- Click Next.
- Select Fast Path and click Next.
- On the Select installation options page, click Next.
- On the Map modules to servers page, select the checkbox next to your module and then select your Portal server from the Clusters and servers box.
- Click Apply and then Next.
- Navigate to the Map context roots for Web modules page.
- Enter your theme name as the context root. For example, yourtheme. Click Next.
- Review the summary and click Finish.
- Click Save.
To verify that the application is running, perform the following steps from the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console:
- Click Applications > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications.
- Search for the new theme.
- Select the application and click Start.
A message appears that the application was started successfully.
