Access content behind a firewall - Web clipping

Many corporations require employees to use a firewall to access Internet content (as opposed to intranet content). Small units within large corporations often have their own firewalls to provide more granular security controls. For these reasons, the Web Clipping Portlet supports the creation of clipping portlets that can access content behind firewalls.

To set a Web clipping portlet to use a firewall to access content:

Administration | Portlet Management | Web Clipping | portlet | Advanced Options | Modify firewall options | Use a proxy server

...and enter the proxy information.
