With WebSphere Portal v7.0 and the Page Builder theme you can use pages from previous portal versions.
Portal pages from previous portals

With the Page Builder theme, you can view, but not edit portal pages from previous portal versions. You can edit such portal pages by using the Manage Pages portlet.

Mashup pages from previous portals

To work with mashup pages from WebSphere Portal Version 615, you need to use the themes named Breadcrumb - Free Form Layout and Breadcrumb - Column Layout from that version.
