WebFolders
WebFolders are a Windows Explorer extension that allow you to read and open WebDAV resources by using Windows Explorer (file explorer).
The following procedure works on Windows XP.
To connect to WebDAV for WebSphere Portal by using WebFolders, proceed as follows:
You can now use the Windows Explorer to browse and edit page hierarchy.
- Install the latest WebFolders fix pack.
Refer to Software Update for Web Folders on the Microsoft Web site.
- From the Windows Explorer menu, select Tools -> Map Network Drive.
- Click Sign up for online storage or connect to a network server.
- Click Next.
- Click Choose another network location -> Next.
- In the entry field for the internet or network address, type the entry point URL.
To access the document tree: http://remote_host:10039/wps/mycontenthandler/dav/contentmodel/wps.content.root/
To access the location where you create pages: http://remote_host:10039/wps/mycontenthandler/dav/contentmodel/wps.content.root/
- Click Next.
- Enter user ID and password for the portal.
- Type a name for the network place and click Next.
- Click Finish.
