Update the configured driver for DB2 for z/OS

If WebSphere Portal is configured to use IBM DB2 Universal Database™ for z/OS®, you need to update wkplc_dbdomain.properties to specify a type 4 database driver and then ensure that WebSphere Portal uses the new driver.

  1. On the target portal, update the database driver information in WP_PROFILE/ConfigEngine/properties/wkplc_dbdomain.properties to specify a type 4 database driver.

If database version supports a spec 4-compliant driver, it is recommended that you use the spec 4-compliant driver.

  2. Connect using the database configuration as follows:

    • Windows™: ConfigEngine.bat connect-database -DTransferDomainList=release,jcr

    • UNIX™: ConfigEngine.sh connect-database -DTransferDomainList=release,jcr

    • i: ConfigEngine.sh connect-database -DTransferDomainList=release,jcr
