The inline tag widget

Users can use the inline tag widget to view tags that have been applied to a resource.

Users can click a twisty arrow to open and close the widget. When a user clicks the twisty, the widget opens. It works as described in the following:

• The tag widget shows tags for the resource from which the user opened the widget.

• Its title that describes which tags are shown.

• The inline tag widget shows one of the following tag sets, depending on the setting of the tag scope parameter for the widget instance. For more information about this parameter refer to the Inline tag widget parameter reference.
  All tags
  This shows all public tags that the user or other users have applied to this resource and the user's own private tags.
  
  Community tags
  This shows tags that other users have applied to the resource as public tags.
  
  Personal tags
  This shows all personal tags, both public and private, that the user has applied to this resource.
  
  Personal public tags
  This shows all public tags that the user has applied to this resource.
  
  Personal private tags
  This shows all private tags the user has applied to this resource.

• Users can combine these views of tags to show different sets of tags as required.

• The widget shows the tags ordered alphabetically and by their count.

• The inline tag widget provides a plus ( + ) icon that users can use to open the default tag widget. For details about this refer to the topic about “The default tagging and rating user interface”.

• Users can click tags. Clicking a tag redirects the user to the tag center with the tag cloud shown in the All view.

• Users can configure how many tags are shown. If there are more tags than the user has configured for display, the user can view all tags by navigating to the default tag widget. To do this, the user clicks the plus icon ( + ).

• Users cannot modify tags within the inline widget. To add or delete tags, the user needs to navigate to the default tag widget by clicking the plus icon ( + ).
