Configure suggested links

You can associate specific pages with certain search key words so that those pages are returned higher in the search results list. The pages are returned higher in the results that where they might have normally occurred in the search results. The pages are displayed in the suggest links portlet. You can prominently position the portlet on the search results page.

1. Click Administration -> Manage Search -> Search Collections and locate the collection to use.

2. Select the eyeglasses button to browse that collection.

3. Use the search within browse collections to find the page that you want and then copy it's information as a starting point.

4. Add the key words that you want to associate with this page.

The result of creating and populating a search collection as well as adding external search service and suggested links to the Search Center page will result in a page view as shown in the following image. In the screen capture, the site user searched for the term feeds.
