Use portlet wires

Use wires to exchange information or actions between portlets.

To access the wiring Tool portlet, proceed as follows:

1. Access the Manage Pages portlet.

2. Locate the page for which you want to add wires.

3. Click the Edit Page Layout icon for that page.
   This takes you to the Edit Layout panel.

4. Click the Wires tab.
   You can now start working with wires.

   Work with portlet wires

   Wires allow portlets to interact with each other. For example, portlets can exchange information, or an action in one portlet can update another portlet.

   Select the matching mode

   Select the matching mode to determine under which circumstances a wire can be created between portlets.
