Modify Palette settings

You can change the settings to affect all instances of the Portlet Palette on every page or selected instances of the Portlet Palette by selecting a different portlet mode. When you initially open the Portlet Palette, you are either in the View or Personalize mode depending on access level.

When working with the Portlet Palette, keep the following tips in mind:

These instructions assume that you are leaving the View or Personalize mode to modify the settings for other users by using the Edit Shared Settings or Configure mode as appropriate. Depending on access level, you may not see all of these options.

You cannot drag portlets to the page while in Edit Shared Settings and Configure modes.

Change the settings of the Portlet Palette:

  1. Click on the drop-down menu located in the Portlets title bar.

  2. Click Edit Shared Settings or Configure as appropriate.

    1. The Edit Shared Settings mode allows you to change the default look of the Portlet Palette for all users. The updates you make here will affect all users who view the Portlet Palette on this page. The changes will not be reflected on any instances of this portlet that appear on other pages.

    2. The Configure mode allows you to change the default look of this portlet for all users across all pages. The updates you make here will affect all users who view this portlet on any page.

  3. To exit Edit Shared Settings or Configure modes, click the drop-down menu located in the Portlets title bar and select Back.
