Use a style sheet element

You store a style sheet file in a style sheet element.

You can only use a style sheet element by creating a style sheet component.

You cannot add a style sheet element to authoring templates, site areas or content items.

  1. From an authoring portlet, click New > Component > Style Sheet .

  2. Go to the Style Sheet tab.

  3. Enter identification information for the component.

  4. Select the style sheet to upload by clicking Browse.

    1. Select a style sheet and click OK.

  5. Select a style sheet type. HTML allows authors to associate any number of external style sheets with a document:

    • Select Alternate style-sheet if the selected style sheet is to be used with a number of mutually exclusive style sheets.

    • Select Preferred style-sheet if the selected style sheet is to be used as the preferred style sheet within a set of alternate style sheets.

    • Select Persistent style-sheet if the selected style sheet is the only style sheet being used.

  6. Enter the display title of the style sheet.

  7. Select a media-type to use with the style sheet.

  8. If workflows are enabled for components, select a workflow.

  9. Set access properties.

  10. Save the component form.
