Use a date and time element

Use a date and time element to store a date or time to be displayed on a Web page. To create a date and time element, you can either add a date and time element to an authoring template, site, site area or content item, or create a date and time component.

• Creating a date and time component

  You create a date and time component when you want to reuse a date and time component in multiple places in your Web site.

• Add a date and time element to an item

  You add a date and time element to a site, site area or content item when you want the date and time element to be used for a specific site, site area or content item.

• Add a date and time element to a template

  You add a date and time element to an authoring template when you want the date and time element to be used by a set of content items that use the same authoring template.
