Create items
At some point when using IBM Lotus Web Content Management you will be required to create a new item. The basic item creation task is the same for all item-types.
- Click New and then select an item-type.
- Some items will require that you select a related item before the item form is opened.
For example, select an authoring template when creating content items. Select an item and click OK.
- The form for the selected item opens in a new tab.
- Enter data and select parameters as required in each section of the form.
- Common item form fields
When creating Web content items, there are a set of fields that are common to most item types.

- Creating a publish action
A publish action changes the status of an item from "draft" to "published".
