Configure e-mail integration
When configuring WebSphere Portal integration with a Domino mail file, you have a few options in the portlets that you choose – the Domino Web Access portlet or the Notes View portlet which uses the portlet type MyMail, MyInbox, or MyCalendar. With both portlets, you can configure collaborative services to automatically detect the user's mail file.
- Configure automatic mail detection using a Lotus Domino LDAP directory
If WebSphere Portal authenticates with an Lotus Domino LDAP directory, complete the steps described here to configure automatic mail detection.
- Configure automatic mail detection using a non-Domino LDAP directory
If WebSphere Portal authenticates with a non-Domino LDAP directory, you can configure Collaborative Services to use that LDAP directory to detect each user's mail server and mail file.
- Configure automatic mail detection using a redirect database
If you plan to use only the Domino Web Access portlet, you can configure the portlet to use a redirect database on a Domino mail server to detect the user's mail server and mail file, instead of performing LDAP calls. This option works regardless of the directory that WebSphere Portal uses for authentication.
