Set the search user ID
If you work with EJB on a secure server, set the search user ID.
To set the search user ID...
- Open the administrative console.
- Make the appropriate selection, depending on your version of WAS:
- For WAS v6.1:
Click Applications > Enterprise Applications.
- For WAS v7:
Click Applications > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications.
- Look for the application WebScanner.Ear.ear. It is listed under the name PSEStandalone.
- Enter this application and click Map security roles to users and groups.
- Select the role SearchUser and click on Lookup users.
- On the portal that accesses the EJB, search for the user ID that is set as the WAS Admin User.
For example, you can find this ID in the Administrative Console.
- Back on the Administrative Console of the machine where the EJB is installed, type this user ID as the Search String and click Search.
As a result, the user ID and its configuration parameters are displayed in the Available box.
- Add this user ID to the Selected box by clicking the > > (double-angled bracket) button.
- Click OK to save your updates.
- Restart the WAS on which the PSEStandalone is installed.
