Secure WSRP by WS-Security for a Consumer portal

If the Producer from whom you consume WSRP services in your Consumer portal has enabled security by Web services security authentication, configure your Consumer portal for the appropriate WS-Security token authentication.

With the portal you can use all security tokens that IBM WAS supports. For most tokens the Consumer and Producer portals need to share the same user registry, for example, LTPA.

1. Configure WS-Security for communication with a Producer

   You can configure WS-Security for the communication with a particular Producer portal by specifying the appropriate security profile for each WSRP port type in the Producer configuration on your Consumer portal.

2. Creating and deploying custom WS-Security profiles

   Each WSRP security profile is defined as a directory in the file system that contains two descriptor files ibm-webservicesclient-bnd.xmi and ibm-webservicesclient-ext.xmi.
