Updating the wc50.jar JAR file

Follow these steps to update the WebCharts wc50.jar file.

  1. Extract the webcharts3D.xml file from the wc50.jar file using the Java jar utility (or WinZip).

    Note: The webcharts3d.xml file is located in the root of the wc50.jar archive.

  2. Open the webcharts3D.xml file and locate the line that contains the license attribute. 
    license=____-____-____-____/>

  3. Enter the WebCharts deployment license key in place of the blanks and save the file. A deployment license key is available from GreenPoint Software when you upgrade to a full version of the WebCharts product.

  4. Add the updated webcharts3d.xml file into the wc50.jar jar file, using the Java jar utility (or WinZip).

    Note: The webcharts3d.xml file must be located in the root of the wc50.jar archive.

  5. Copy the updated wc50.jar jar file to a project or project template as required:

    • To update an existing project, copy the wc50.jar jar file to the project WEB-INF\lib directory.

    • To update the WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer project template for all future projects, copy the wc50.jar jar file to the project template located at:

      installdir/FeatureSets/WEB-APP_version-number/Templates/Project/wpf.war/WEB-INF/lib
