Sending a Click to Action event to multiple portlets
Because C2A technology follows a broadcaster paradigm, sending C2A events to multiple portlets is as easy as sending C2A events to a single portlet. To send C2A events to multiple portlets, you need not change your sender portlet at all. To broadcast to multiple portlets, ensure the following type matches concerning the Cooperative Portlet Target builder in each of your receiver portlets.
- Match the type entered to the Cooperative Portlet Target builder in the Input Type input to the type of the input that is to be passed to the Event Handler from the C2A source. For example, if a value of type :string is to be passed from the C2A source, that must be reflected in this input.
- Match the value entered in the the Input Type Name input to the value entered in the Input Type Name input from the Cooperative Portlet Source builder in your sender portlet model.
