Working with Source View and the Application Tree

The Source View and Design View tabs can show details of elements that you select in the Application Tree.

If you select the Source View tab, and the selected object in the Application Tree view does not have any source available, you see this topic. You can make the source code for elements created by builders in your model available to be displayed in the Source View. Displaying source information for your model involves adding builders and specifying inputs for the builder calls.

  1. Ensure that you added builders to your model.

In the Outline View, you see a builder call list; each entry in the list describes a builder that you added to your model.

If the builder call list is empty, add builders to the model using the builder picker.

  2. If you are adding a builder to the model, in the builder call editor, specify the required and default inputs and click Apply.

You see the builder added to the builder call list in the Outline View.

  3. Click Application Tree and navigate to and select any element in the WebApp folder.

Source information is displayed in the Source View.
