Portlet Factory, Version 6.1.2

Creating a custom model for configure and edit modes

To create your own model to display during Configure or Edit Mode for the Portlet:

  1. In the IBM® WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer, create an empty model and add a Portlet Customizer builder call to it. The Portlet Customizer adds all the WebApp elements you need to implement the Configure or Edit functionality for your portlet. You can add to the base behavior by adding builder calls or importing an alternate HTML page as described above.

  2. In the Portlet Customizer, determine which profile entries you want to expose and how those entries will be displayed. See the Portlet Customizer help for more information.

  3. In the portlet model, open the builder call editor for the Portlet Adapter builder call and expand the Advanced input group.

  4. Set the Custom Edit Type or the Custom Configure Type input to Custom Model and use the model chooser to specify the model with the portlet customizer call in it as the value for the Custom Configure model or Custom Edit Model input.
