Portlet Factory, Version 6.1.2

Creating an action that returns a value

In the Action List builder, you can choose the Return element in the Action Chooser to create an action that returns a value.

To return a value from an Action List builder call:

  1. Use the reference chooser to expand the Special node and then select the return leaf. This causes the Set Return Value dialog to be displayed.

  2. Set the Source value in the Set Return Value dialog to the element in the model whose value you want to return.

The action list automatically returns the results of the last action. You do not need to explicitly return the result of that action.
