Portlet Factory, Version 6.1.2

Adding builder calls to a model

You can add builder calls to an open model.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • On the IBM® WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer toolbar, the application tree view toolbar, or the outline view toolbar, click the Add Builder Call icon [ ] .

    • From the WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer menu bar, click Model > Add Builder Call

    The builder picker window opens.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Under Category name, click a folder to list available builders in that category.

    • In the search box, enter letters to list builder keywords and click a keyword to list available builders associated with that keyword.

A list of builders is displayed.

  3. Under Builder, navigate to and select the entry in the list for the builder to add to the model.

If the list of builders is long (for example, in the All category), select an entry in the list and type the first letter of the builder name. The first builder whose name starts with that letter is selected. Repeat typing the letter to select the next builder whose name starts with that letter. Type a different letter to repeat the process.

  4. Click OK.

The builder call editor opens in the application tree view.

  5. In the builder call editor, specify the inputs for the builder call.

  6. Do one of the following:

    • Click Apply to save the inputs and add the builder to the model. The builder call editor remains open for you to make more changes.

    • Click Cancel to discard your inputs, omit adding the builder to your model, and close the builder call editor.

  7. When you complete specifying the inputs, click OK to save any changed inputs to your model and close the builder call editor.

To locate builder calls on pages and using the various input widgets, use the builder call editor. You can manage the builder calls for a model in the builder call list.
