Using WebCharts on the UNIX system

Special configuration is required to use GreenPoint WebCharts software on Linux or the UNIX system. The configuration required depends on the version of the JDK used by the application or portal server. Before performing the step below, determine the JDK version and build author that your server is using. Once you have this information, follow the appropriate procedure described in the additional documentation provided for your specific application server.

 

Resolving X11 display errors

If your UNIX system or Linux system is running an X server, you can experience X11 errors when you load WebCharts. You see X11 exceptions in the IBM® WebSphere® Application Server log. Refer to the following location:

Although your system is running X, you can still use the java.awt.headless=true option.
