Build and deployment relationship

Your build configurations determine how your deployments are processed.

If you are building a portlet or standalone application, the Build Portlet WAR or Build Development WAR functions are keyed to your current deployment configuration for each project. These functions use the AutoDeploy, Portlet API, and build path settings in this configuration. If your deployment configuration has AutoDeploy configured, your application is redeployed.

If you are building a widget, the Build Development WAR function is keyed to your current deployment configuration for each project. This function uses the AutoDeploy, Widget API, and build path settings in this configuration. If your deployment configuration has AutoDeploy configured, your application is redeployed.
