Naming elements

You use an element tag to display the content of an element within a presentation template or element design. The name of each displayed element must match the "key" defined in the element tag. The element types do not have to be consistent.

Example

The following tag references an element named heading from the current site area:

<element type="sitearea" context="current" key="heading" />

Each element referenced by this is named "heading". The element types do not have to be consistent.

Site area Element name Element type
Business heading Image
Personal heading Rich Text
Features heading Text
News heading Text
