Migrate permissions on administrative resources

If you are migrating from WebSphere Portal V5.1.0, 5.1.0.1, 5.1.0.2, 5.1.0.3, 5.1.0.4, or 5.1.0.5, note the access control settings for your previous version and then recreate them in the current version.

  1. Log into the earlier version using an administrator account and go to the Manage pages portlet. Then, view and note the access control settings for the earlier version.

  2. Log into the current version using an administrator account.

  3. Open the Resource Permissions portlet.

  4. Select the Resource type User Groups.

  5. Select the All Authenticated Portal Users option and analyze the existing role assignments on that user group.

  6. Repeat these steps for All Portal User Groups.
