Exporting a Web collection

Use the Manage Search portlet to export search Web collections from a source portal. Before exporting a Web collection, verify that the portal application process has write access to the target directory location. Use the Manage Search portlet to complete the following steps:

1. On the earlier portal server, select the collection that you want to export.

2. In the Search Collections box, click Export collection.

3. In the Specify Location field, enter the full directory path and XML file name to which you want to export the document collection and its data.

4. Click Export
