Edit application properties
Each application property -- application name, category, description, friendly URL, backup option, and owner -- describes a basic element of the composite application. Use the Properties portlet to edit application properties. When you edit the properties of an application, you change only the properties of that particular application; the template is not affected. You must be assigned an application role that permits you to edit the application. To edit application properties, follow these steps:
- Click Edit to display the application properties in edit mode.
- Edit the properties as needed.
- Application name
- Name of the application.
- Category
- The type of application. The default category is Root application folder.
- Description
- Text that describes the application.
- Friendly URL
- Text that provides a top-level page label for the application that is concise and easy to read and remember.
- Application Backup for Archiving and Restore
- Provides choices for allowing the application to be backed up:
- Disable Backup
- Enable Backup
- Owner
- The user ID of the person who created the application.
- Titles and descriptions for other languages
- Click the link to specify the application title and description in different languages.
- Click OK to save your changes.
- Click Done to return to the application page.
