Overview

Identify addresses for a local pool.

      [no] ip local pool pool_name start_IP_address [ -end_IP_address ]
 show ip local pool pool_name start_IP_address [ -end_IP_address ] 
clear ip local pool pool_name start_IP_address [ -end_IP_address ] 


Syntax

ip local pool Create a pool of local addresses to be used for assigning dynamic IP addresses to remote VPN clients.
Delete a local address pool.
show ip local pool Show usage information about a local address pool.
clear ip local pool Reset IP addresses in a local pool to their default values.
pool_name Local pool name.
start_IP_address
end_IP_address
Local pool IP address range.


Usage

Create a pool of local addresses to be used for assigning dynamic IP addresses to remote VPN clients. To reference a pool of local addresses, use:

isakmp client configuration address-pool

If the ip local pool is empty, the following syslog message appears:

%PIX-4-404101: ISAKMP: Failed to allocate address for client from pool poolname

Configuration mode.


Examples

The following example creates a pool of IP addresses and then displays the pool contents:

    ip local pool mypool 10.0.0.10-10.0.0.20
    show ip local pool mypool
