Reserve IP addresses

In order to prepare your Cloud environment for testing, you can reserve IP addresses.

This enables you to set up the firewall of your Cloud Load Generators in advance and keep those same configurations for several tests without needing to redo with changing IP addresses.

IP addresses can be reserved and managed from the Online Cloud Console. They can be used either in the Online Cloud Console or in the NeoLoad Cloud Console.

  1. Log in to the Online Cloud Console.
  2. In the Cloud Console, choose IP addresses > Manage my IP addresses.
  3. In the Workgroup section, select the workgroup you want to use for the session.

  4. Click the Reserve IP addresses button.
  5. In the Reserve IP addresses step:

    • In the Schedule section, choose the Last day of the IP addresses reservation, by either entering the date directly or clicking the calendar icon and selecting the day then clicking Apply.

The reservation will start immediately and will expire at the day chosen at 23:59.

  6. In the IP addresses section, the table lists the worldwide Cloud zones available.

    • For each zone where you want to deploy tests, enter the number of IP addresses you need in the Required column.

The last line of the table shows the total number of IP addresses requested and the cost per day and per IP address.

Information: Cloud credits are rounded up to the upper credit.

  7. Check the Cost section to see how much you have left in the Available line and the Cost of the reservation which depends on the duration and number of IP addresses selected above.

If any credits/VUHs are missing for the IP addresses selected, the information is displayed in red, and a link gives access to the Neotys Online Store to purchase more credits/VUHs on the fly.

  8. Click Validate to confirm the reservation of the IP addresses selected and then Yes to confirm.

The screen refreshes after a few seconds to My IP addresses of the Cloud Console and a green message summarizes the reservation.
