Manage the runtime database

To manage the disk space usage of this database, we can clear some or all of its stored data. When we remove data, the ISAM runtime is stopped.

Steps

  1. Log in to the local management interface.

  2. Select AAC > Manage > Database Maintenance

  3. Take one of the following actions:

      Remove device fingerprints:

      1. Select Remove device fingerprints.
      2. Select a time period in days, months, or years. For example, we might select 1 Year. After clicking Remove, device fingerprints that have not been used in more than 1 year are removed from the database. The default is 1 year.
      3. Click Remove.

      Remove user session data:

      1. Select Remove user session data.
      2. Select a time period in hours or days. For example, we might select 12 Hours. When you click Remove, data older than 12 hours is removed from the database. The default is 1 day.
      3. Click Remove.

Remove all data from the runtime database:
Use this selection only if we want to remove all data from the runtime database.

      1. Select Remove all data from the runtime database.
      2. Click Remove.
      3. Respond to the confirmation message. Click Yes to remove all data or No to cancel the removal.

If the runtime was not stopped before we selected an action, a message is displayed that asks if the runtime can be stopped. The runtime must be stopped before any removal actions can occur.

  4. After the selected action is completed, click Refresh Status to see the time that processing was completed and the number of records removed. If the status indicates that an error occurred, correct the error and try the action again.

  5. When the database record has been removed, restart the runtime by clicking Go to Runtime Tuning Parameters to restart the runtime.
