IBM Security Identity Manager Services
An ISIM service (ITIM Service) represents a user repository for a resource, such as an operating system, a database application, a J2EE application server application, or a user repository.
Users access these services by receiving an account on the service.
Services are created from service types, which represent sets of managed resources that share similar attributes. For example, there is a default service type that represents Linux machines.
A service owner identifies the person who owns and maintains a particular service in IBM Security Identity Manager. Contact the system administrator for additional information about the services that are available in your environment.
