Installation of the Oracle database server

We might install the Oracle database server on the same computer or on a computer that is separate from IBM Security Identity Manager..

For information about installing the Oracle database server, see documentation available at Oracle official website. If we are using the Oracle 12c, Oracle 18c, or Oracle 19c Database, we must create a non-container database. When we create the database, ensure that the Create as a Container database check box is clear. If you manually create the Oracle database for Security Identity Manager, manually install the JVM feature. Otherwise any transactions from Security Identity Manager can fail later. You are not required to manually create the database and install the JVM feature. We can use the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant wizard to create the database and install the JVM feature.
