Change the ldapdb2 user password

We might need to configure IBM Security Identity Manager to use a new password for the ldapdb2 user.

You must be a system administrator on ISIM Server to have access to this task.

To change the password for the LDAP database user.

  1. Navigate to the drive:\idsslapd-ldapb2\etc directory.
  2. Edit the ibmslapd.conf file with a text editor.

  3. In the ibmslapd.conf file, locate ibm-slapdDbInstance: ldapbdb2.
  4. Change the password for the ibm-slapdDbUserPW property. The password currently in the file is encrypted. Replace the old password by typing the new password in clear text, and save the change.
