Create a new user-defined file system
A user-defined file system (UDFS) is a file system that you create and define the attributes for. UDFSs reside in auxiliary storage pools (ASPs) on the system.
To create a new user-defined file system (UDFS):
- Expand your system in iSeries Navigator.
- Expand File Systems.
- Expand Integrated File System.
- Expand Root.
- Expand Dev.
- Click the auxiliary storage pool (ASP) that you want to contain the new UDFS.
- Select New UDFS from the File menu.
- Specify the UDFS name, description (optional), auditing values, default file format, and whether the files in the new UDFS will have case-sensitive file names on the New User-Defined File System dialog.
