DSPSYSVAL (Display System Value)
DSPSYSVAL Command syntax diagram
Purpose
The Display System Value (DSPSYSVAL) command displays the name and the value of the specified system value.
Restriction: You must have *ALLOBJ and *SECADM special authorities to change security related system values.
Required Parameters
- SYSVAL
- Specifies the name of the system value that is displayed. A complete list of system values that are shipped with the system is in the OS/400 system values topic in the Information Center.
Optional Parameters
- OUTPUT
- Specifies whether the output from the command is displayed at the requesting work station or printed with the job's spooled output. More information on this parameter is in commonly used parameters.
*: Output requested by an interactive job is shown on the display. Output requested by a batch job is printed with the job's spooled output.
*PRINT: The output is printed with the job's spooled output.

DSPSYSVAL SYSVAL(QHOUR)This command displays the current value of the system value QHOUR.
